Every Tuesday afternoon, between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., beginning musicians, singers, composers, song writers, DJs, VJs and producers may put their questions to our specialized media and entertainment lawyers.
The purpose of the consultation hour is to discuss the potential pitfalls and the unknown aspects of the music business, as it is not always clear what rights are attached to creations and/or performances. The same applies to the use of other people’s works. The consultation hour is also intended to provide information about different legal forms of business for the band to be formed, for example; should it be a ‘BV’ or a general partnership?
The Consultation Hour for Artists is held at our office at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 325 in Amsterdam. A conversation lasts 20 to 30 minutes on average and is free of charge. We set only two conditions: announce your visit by telephone and keep your appointment! You may announce your visit by calling 020 - 521 9999.
